| R128077 Flight Sergeant (No. 429 Bison Squadron RCAF air gunner) (Albert) James MacLachlan (b.1922) of Watrous was KIA 19430612 and is buried at Varsseveld general cemetery, Wisch, Gelderland, Netherlands. MacLachlan's Wellington was shot down at Wisch. He was the only son of Albert Edward (Ab) and Daisy (Esson) MacLachlan. James' grandfather John came from Ontario to homestead at Manitou Beach in 1908 and founded MacLachlan's Beach. James was working on his father's dray when he enlisted at Saskatoon in 1941. |
