If you watched the recent coverage of the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge, then you might have noticed the small biplane scouts or fighters flying over the ridge. They were assembled and flown by a volunteer group called Vimy Flight, which has indicated they’ll fly them from east to west across Canada. A tentative schedule indicates they’ll arrive at 15 Wing Moose Jaw on Aug. 12, then move to Saskatoon on Aug. 19. Word from the Regina Flying Club is that these aircraft will be based in these two cities, then makes daily forays to other Saskatchewan centres so the public can see the aircraft and chat with their pilots.
