| L50084 Trooper (British Columbia Regiment) James Richard Gow (b.1921) of Crooked River was KIA 19450425 during the liberation of the Netherlands and is buried at Holten Canadian war cemetery, Overijssel, Netherlands. He was the son of James Jamieson and Ruth Maude Gow who homesteaded NE34-40-24-W2 just west of Middle Lake and later retired to Vancouver, British Columbia. James Jr. was born at Cudworth and was a lumber checker at the Harris sawmill southeast of Crooked River when he enlisted at Saskatoon late in 1940. |
