Narrative history
J14449 Flying Officer (No. 254 Squadron RAF pilot) Albert Frederick Hague (b.1918) of Regina was KIA 19431123 and is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial near London, England, for airmen from the north European theatre who died with no known grave. Hague's Beaufighter failed to return from an anti-shipping strike off the Dutch coast. He was the son of Harry and Hilda Clara (Baker) Hague. Albert was a graduate of Scott collegiate and worked as a clerk for the provincial government prior to enlisting at Regina three months before the outbreak of the war. He was originally a clerk orderly, re-mustering to aircrew early in 1942. His brothers Douglas and Harry Jr. both served in the Army. Hague Crescent in northwestern Regina has been named in Albert's honour.
