Narrative history
  301617 Gunner (3rd Division Ammunition Column, Canadian Field Artillery driver) Ernest William Williams (b.1875) of Regina died 19181105 at Ontario hospital, Orpington, Kent, England, of pneumonia and is buried at Mildenhall cemetery, Suffolk. Williams served at the front for over two years and ironically took ill while on leave in England. He was the son of William Edward and Emily Williams of Mildenhall. Ernest was a grocer when he enlisted at Regina in 1915, leaving a wife Clara.
