Narrative history
  788561 Private (38th Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment) Arthur William Fishenden (b.1880) of Pakenham, Lanark Co., Ontario, died 19180228 of his wounds and is buried at Buxton cemetery, Derbyshire, England. Fishenden was gassed at the front in November 1917. Arthur homesteaded SE36-13-16-W3 southeast of Webb beside his brother but movd his wife Janet F. and two sons to Pakenham before enlisting at Renfrew, Renfrew Co., early in 1916.

Brother of WE Fishenden. They were the sons of William and Mary Anna Fishenden who came to Renfrew from Kilndown, Kent, England, where both boys were born. Their brothers Fred, George and Harry also served.
