Narrative history
  908058 Private (5th Battalion, Saskatchewan Regiment) Christopher Francis Edwards (b.1892) of Grand Coulee died 19170406 of wounds sustained during the preparations for Vimy Ridge and is buried at Écoivres military cemetery, Mont-Saint-Éloi northwest of Arras, Pas-de-Calais, France. He was the son of Charles Walter and Marian Edwards who came from Collingwood, Simcoe Co., Ontario, to homestead SE16-16-21-W2 south of Grand Coulee. Christopher was farming when he enlisted at Regina in 1916.
