| J37836 Flying Officer (No. 415 Swordfish Squadron RCAF bomb aimer) Edward Rhind (b.1911) of Saskatoon was KIA 19450105 and is buried at Sage war cemetery south of Oldenburg, Land Niedersaschen, Germany. Rhind's Halifax was shot down in Dehme forest northwest of Twistingen. He was the son of Andrew and Elizabeth (Clarke) Rhind. Edward was born at Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, attended Bedford Road collegiate, and was working as a salesman for Campbell Wilson & Millar Ltd. when he enlisted at Saskatoon in 1942. |
