Narrative history
  B61487 Sergeant (1st Hussars) Wesley Robert McKeith (b.1921) of Toronto, Ontario, was KIA 19450414 at Zwolle during the liberation of the Netherlands and is buried at Holten Canadian war cemetery, Overijssel, Netherlands. McKeith's tank was hit by enemy fire at a roadblock. Although they withdrew quickly, the tank exploded before he and two of his crew mates could bail out. Wesley was the son of John Thomas and Eleanor McKeith who farmed northeast of Hazenmore. He was a mechanic and enlisted at Toronto, where he had been working, in 1941. Wes' wife Eleanor, originally from Aneroid, lived at Vancouver, British Columbia, after the war. Cousin of AB McKeith.
