Narrative history
  J27590 Flying Officer (No. 431 Iroquois Squadron RCAF bomb aimer) Dale Howard Loewen (b.1920) of Scott was KIA 19440428 and is buried at Schoonselhof cemetery, Antwerpen, Belgium. Loewen's Halifax did not return from a night raid on Montzen. He was the son of John Henry and Tina (Schmidt) Loewen who came from Gretna, Manitoba. Dale was working as a horticulturist at the Dominion Experimental station when he enlisted at Saskatoon the day before his 20th birthday.

J Gilson, also from Scott, died on the same flight.
