Narrative history
  J39167 Flying Officer (No. 420 Snowy Owl Squadron RCAF wireless air gunner) Stanley Arthur Hay (b.1913) of Rowletta was KIA 19450214 and is buried at Stonefall cemetery, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. Hay's Halifax developed engine trouble shortly after takeoff and crashed attempting to land at Tholthorpe. He was the son of Robert Alexander and Margaret Jane (Wilson) Hay who came from Palmerston, Wellington Co., Ontario, to homestead SE36-18-30-W2 in 1908 and later retired to Moose Jaw. Stanley was born at Caron, educated at Premier and Lake Valley schools and was a yard man and truck driver for Beaver Lumber when he enlisted at Regina in 1941.
