| J21265 Flight Lieutenant (No. 428 Ghost Squadron RCAF Halifax pilot) Gordon William Neil Fanson (b.1916) of Regina was KIA 19430818 over the Peenemunde rocket pens and is buried at Berlin 1939-45 war cemetery, Charlottenburg, Germany. He was the son of George Snell and Elsie Mary Ellen (Thurgeson) Fanson of Winnipeg, where Gordon was born and educated. He was managing the Smile Hat Shop at Regina when he enlisted there in 1941.
DH Orr died on the same flight. |
