  534245 Private (4th Field Ambulance, Canadian Army Medical Corps) John McLachlan MM (b.1880) of Herschel was KIA 19180815 near Amiens and is buried at Warvillers churchyard extension southeast of Amiens, Somme, France. He was the son of James and Maria McLachlan of Kelvinside, Glasgow, Scotland. John was farming when he enlisted at Saskatoon in 1916.
