Narrative history
104429 Private (28th Battalion, Saskatchewan Regiment) Guy Barr MacIntyre (b.1890) of Medicine Hat, Alberta, was KIA 19160915 at Courcelette and is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial north of Arras, Pas-de-Calais, for the 11,000+ Canadian soldiers who perished in northern France with no known grave. He was the son of Gregor and Margaret Moodie MacIntyre of Horton township, Renfrew Co., Ontario. Guy homesteaded NE25-10-16-W4 northeast of Taber before enlisting in the 68th Battalion at Regina in 1915. The latter seems to be his only connection to Saskatchewan.
