Harris World War II War Memorial

Harris Saskatchewan memorial cairn was erected to honour those who gave the supreme sacrifice in World War II. Harris, population 186 in 2006, is located on Saskatchewan provincial highway 7 in the Rural Municipality of Harris #316. Although settled around 1909, Harris experienced a boom of thousands of prospectors following the Ruby Rush in the early days of World War I, which soon dwindled with no prospects available.

Royal Canadian Legion Harris Branch 361 was inaugurated in 1953 and held a Canada Remembers Celebration in 1995. The branch also displays photos of WWII veterans on the Memorial Wall in the Harris Museum.
