Narrative history
  J92195 Pilot Officer (No. 460 Squadron RAAF bomb aimer) George Robert Warnock (b.1918) of Reward was KIA 19440504 and is buried at Chapelle-Vallon communal cemetery north of Troyes, Aube, France. Warnock's Lancaster went down during a night raid on Mailly le Camp. He was the son of William Watson (Will) and Lillian May (Todd) Warnock who homesteaded NE2-38-24-W3 east of Donegal. George's parents, both Ontarians, were the first settlers in the Reward area, part of the German Catholic St. Josephs Colony. George was educated at Deer Lodge school and was enrolled in a youth training program at Wilkie when he enlisted at Regina in 1942.
