Narrative history
  L58611 Craftsman (Royal Canadian Electrical & Mechanical Engineers) Harold Dennis (Smokey) Stover (b.1920) of Moose Jaw died 19450113 and is buried at Bergen op Zoom Canadian war cemetery, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands. Stover had just finished repairing a motorcycle and took it out for a test run. He hit a greasy spot on the road near Breda and hit a tree, breaking his neck. He was the son of Charles John and Lilly Stover. Charles came from North Dakota to work for the CPR, and Smokey was himself employed at the CPR roundhouse before enlisting at Moose Jaw in 1941. His brother Donald also served in northwestern Europe.
