Brother of M Skwarchuk. They were the sons of John and Sophie Skwarchuk who farmed on the shores of Good Spirit Lake southwest of Canora. Ironically, the Skwarchuk brothers enlisted on the same day, died a month apart, are both buried at Bény-sur-Mer and both served in Manitoba regiments.
