Narrative history
  4639 Signalman (HMCS Ottawa) Clinton LeRoy Simons (b.1924) of Swift Current was KIA 19420913 and is commemorated on the Halifax Memorial for servicemen lost or buried at sea. He was the son of Roy and Martha Merle Simons who homesteaded SW14-15-10-W3 northwest of Neidpath and later moved to Calgary, Alberta. Clinton was a student when he enlisted as a boy signalman at Regina in 1941.
