  L8471 Private (Royal Canadian Army Service Corps) John Ralph Simmer (b.1922) of Tribune was KIA 19441112 and is buried at Adegem Canadian war cemetery, Oost-Vlaanderen, Belgium. He was the son of Frank and Ida Simmer who homesteaded SE34-1-12-W2 south of Torquay, later moving to Tribune. John was born at Bromhead and was a labourer/truck driver when he enlisted at Regina late in 1941.
