| L54812 Sergeant (Royal Canadian Dragoons) Norman Adolf Severson (b.1919) of Edam was KIA 19441031 north of Bologna and is buried at Gradara war cemetery, Pesaro, Italy. Severson was mentioned in despatches posthumously. He was the son of Nels and Olga Severson who came from North Dakota to homestead SW26-49-19-W3 northeast of Edam in 1908. Norman attended Picnic Lake school and was farming on his own when he enlisted at Saskatoon in 1941. |
