Narrative history
  L28180 Rifleman (Regina Rifles) Joseph Serwatkewich (b.1919) of Ituna was KIA on D-Day 19440606 and is buried at Bény-sur-Mer Canadian war cemetery near Reviers, Calvados, France. He was the son of Frank and Mary Serwatkewich who farmed 26-24-12-W2. Joseph was farming with his family when he was called up for NRMA service at Regina early in 1943, going active three months later. His brother Mike also served overseas with the Army.
