Narrative history
  J11437 Flying Officer (RAF Ferry Command navigator) Robert Irving (Bob) Scott (b.1910) of Govan was KIA 19430209 and is buried at Gander cemetery, Newfoundland. Scott was a passenger on a Liberator returning from England that crashed just short of Gander. He was the son of Thomas William and Edith Marion (James) Scott who homesteaded NE12-1-1-W2 in the Meridian district south of Glen Ewen. Bob was teaching high school at Govan when he enlisted at Regina in 1941. He married Gladys Helene (Wallbridge) at Govan the following New Year's and they had a daughter Eleanor Lynne.
