| R149654 Warrant Officer 2 (No. 44 Rhodesia Squadron RAF bomb aimer) Donald John Scott (b.1922) of Stalwart was KIA 19440520 and is buried at Saint-Pierre cemetery, Amiens, Somme, France. Scott's Lancaster did not return from a night raid on Amiens. He was the only child of James and Winnifred (Devaney) Scott who homesteaded NW30-26-25-W2 just northwest of Stalwart and later retired to Vancouver, British Columbia. Donald was farming with his family when he enlisted at Regina late in 1941. |
