Narrative history
  L104715 Private (South Saskatchewan Regiment) Lorne Hume Sarginson (b.1915) of Kelliher was KIA 19450122 at Mook Hill in the Nijmegen salient and is buried at Groesbeek Canadian war cemetery near Nijmegen, Gelderland, Netherlands. He was the son of Thomas and Margaret Sarginson who came from Bancroft, Hastings Co., Ontario, to work on a number of farms, winding up near Wishart. Lorne was born at Haliburton, Haliburton Co., educated at Strasbourg and Govan and was working for a creamery at Kelliher when he enlisted at Regina early in 1943. He left a wife Dorothy Gladys (Voltz) and a daughter Myrna Gwendolyn later of Naicam.
