| L61707 Gunner (8 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery) John Wilberforce Saint (b.1921) of Dubuc was KIA 19440808 in Operation Totalize during the push to Falaise and is buried at Bayeux war cemetery, Calvados, France. He was the only son of John and Maude Marguerite Saint who came from Derbyshire, England, in 1907 and subsequently retired to Saanichton, British Columbia. John Jr. attended Cotham school and farmed with his family before enlisting at Moosomin in 1941. J Grimmer (qv) was a foster son of the same family. |
