Narrative history
  L12031 Lance Sergeant (South Saskatchewan Regiment) Donald Everett Purvis (b.1919) of Estevan was KIA 19440720 at Verrières Ridge and is buried at Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian war cemetery, Calvados, France. He was the youngest son of Jesse and Sara Purvis who came from Lindsay, Victoria Co., Ontario, via Kipling in 1918. Donald was working as a clerk at Safeway when he enlisted at Weyburn on the outbreak of the war, and left a wife Hattie Violet at Weyburn and later of Toronto, Ontario.
