| L12279 Sergeant (South Saskatchewan Regiment) Cecil Harris Parr (b.1910) of Wolseley was KIA 19440802 during the push to Falaise and is buried at Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian war cemetery, Calvados, France. Parr was wounded at Dieppe. He was the son of William Findlay and Grace Elizabeth Parr who homesteaded SW6-16-10-W2 southwest of Wolseley. Cecil was born at Candiac and educated at Greenville school and at Wolseley and was farming when he enlisted at Weyburn late in 1939. |
