Narrative history
  L107798 Private (Lake Superior Regiment) William McRobbie (b.1924) of Broadview was KIA 19450302 at Hochwald forest during operations to clear the west bank of the Rhine and is buried at Groesbeek Canadian war cemetery near Nijmegen, Gelderland, Netherlands. He was the son of Annie McRobbie who came from Aberdeenshire, Scotland. William, whose brother George served overseas with the Regina Rifles, was born and educated at Broadview and was working as a mail clerk for the CPR when he enlisted at Regina late in 1943.
