  L74257 Private (Black Watch) Benjamin Lucie (b.1922) of James Smith reserve was KIA 19441001 at Brecht on the Antwerp-Turnhout canal and is buried at Bergen op Zoom Canadian war cemetery, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands. He was the son of Marciel and Virginie Lucie. Benjamin was born at Kinistino and was a farm labourer when he enlisted at Prince Albert early in 1942. His brother Mack also served overseas.
