J41054 Flying Officer (RCAF air gunner) Peter Paul Loszchuk (b.1924) of Regina died 19440830 and is buried at Stonefall cemetery, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. Loszcuk's Wellington crashed at Bothamshall, Nottinghamshire, on a circuits and landing training flight from #82 Operational Training Unit. He was the son of John and Mary (Mus) Loszchuk who came from Poland to farm at Candiac in 1917, moving to a farm at Fillmore in 1925. Peter was born at Candiac, educated at Fillmore and worked at Regina for two years as a "soliciting agent" (magazine salesman) before enlisting early in 1943. His brother Joseph was also in the RCAF overseas while brother Stanley served in the Army. LE Chapman died on the same flight. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
