Narrative history
  R85440 Flight Sergeant (No. 69 Squadron RAF Wellington navigator) Hugh Francis Locke (b.1921) of Riverhurst was KIA 19421110 and is commemorated on the Malta Memorial, Valetta, for airmen from the Mediterranean theatre who died with no known grave. He was the son of William D. and Annie B. (Smith) Locke who homesteaded NE25-22-7-W3 southeast of Riverhurst. Hugh was educated at Erskine school and Riverhurst and was farming when he enlisted.
