Narrative history
  L105548 Private (South Saskatchewan Regiment) Thomas Elmer Lobb (b.1914) of Battle Heights was KIA 19440924 on his 30th birthday at Lochtenberg on the Antwerp-Turnhout canal and is buried at Bergen op Zoom Canadian war cemetery, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands. He was the son of Arthur Lorne and Clara (Richardson) Lobb who came from Hastings Co., Ontario, in 1903 and pioneered in the Thatch Creek and Beatty districts. Arthur passed away just three days before his son was killed in Europe. Thomas was born at Melfort and was farming northeast of Carrot River when he enlisted at Regina early in 1943. His brother Leslie served with the RCAF.
