Narrative history
  L13658 Private (Lanark & Renfrew Scottish Regiment) Stanley Wellington Lewis (b.1916) of Assiniboia was KIA 19441213 and is buried at Villanova Canadian war cemetery, Bagnacavalla, Ravena, Italy. He was the son of Henry Wellington and Lillian E.M. Lewis who came from Petrolia, Lambton Co., Ontario, to homestead SW30-7-1-W3 just south of the Valor siding. Stanley was born on the farm and was farming when he enlisted at Regina in 1941. Six months later he married Lillian Emily May at Thunder Bay, Ontario, and they had a son Robert James. His brother Norval was in the RCAF while brother Kenneth was also with the Army overseas.
