Narrative history |
| L2195 Private (Princess Louise Fusiliers) Dennis Lasky (b.1920) of Saskatoon died 19441109 and is buried at Brookwood military cemetery near London, England. Lasky had been returned to England from Italy in October 1944 on compassionate grounds and was granted leave. He did not return and was posted as a deserter, but his body was found in a static water tank at Superior camp, Ludshott, Hampshire, on 19450105. No evidence of foul play or suicide was found so Lasky's death remains a mystery. He was the only son of Alexander and Pearl Lasky. Dennis was operating his own delivery truck when he enlisted at Saskatoon early in 1940. |
