| L41279 Sapper (13 Field Co., Royal Canadian Engineers) John Krysowaty Jr. (b.1912) of Davidson was KIA 19440518 during the assault on the Hitler line and is buried at Cassino war cemetery, Frosinone, Italy. He was the son of John and Tilly Krysowaty who homesteaded NW28-25-10-W2 east of Ituna, and later farmed east of Davidson. John Jr. was born at Hubbard, farmed east of Davidson, and worked in a sawmill at Carrot River for 15 winters before enlisting at Saskatoon in 1941. |
