Narrative history
  R254135 Corporal (RCAF) Gabriel Krasiun Jr. (b.1914) of Kayville died 19460609 and is buried at St. Mary's cemetery, Kayville. According to the family biography in the local history, Krasiun was serving in the RCAF's "fire fighters corps" and was killed in a plane crash at Williams Lake, British Columbia (his file indicates that he was killed in a jeep accident near the RCAF's firefighting station at Dog Creek). He was the son of Gabriel and Eronia (Shumlanski) Krasiun who came from Romania via Max, McLean Co., North Dakota, to homestead SE22-9-24-W2 just northeast of Kayville in 1908. Gabriel Jr. attended Claudia school which his father had helped to found and was farming when he enlisted at Regina in 1943. His brother Caston also served in the RCAF.
