  4677 Telegraphist (HMCS Ottawa) Nicholas (Nick) Kostenko (b.1923) of Clair was KIA 19420913 and is commemorated on the Halifax Memorial for servicemen lost or buried at sea. He was the son of Tony and Minnie Kostenko. NicK was attending high school in Saskatoon when he enlisted there in 1941.
