| H9108 Private (No. 10 Vocational Training School) Edward Louis Kornash (b.1920) of North Battleford, where he is buried, died 19440506. Kornash was on leave from his internship program at St-Boniface hospital to visit his ailing mother when he fractured his skull on falling from a bicycle that had defective brakes. He was the only child of Louis and Mary Kornash. Edward was a pre-med student at the University of Manitoba when he enlisted at Winnipeg in 1943. |
