Narrative history
  K40728 Rifleman (Regina Rifles) Mike Klopouschak Jr. (b.1924) of Vancouver, British Columbia, was KIA 19440812 by shrapnel to the head during the push to Falaise and is buried at Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian war cemetery, Calvados, France. He was the son of Mike and Annie (Harbusz) Klopouschak who came from Ukraine to farm in the Nauka district until 1928 when Mike Sr. went into the harnessmaking business at Hafford. Mike Jr. was working as a swamper before being called up for NRMA service at Vancouver in 1943, he switched to active service at Winnipeg, Manitoba, four months later.
