| L103158 Guardsman (Governor General's Foot Guards driver mechanic) Lloyd Everett Kirkvold (b.1923) of Handsworth died 19450529 and is buried at Holten Canadian war cemetery, Overijssel, Netherlands. While performing vehicle recovery duties, Kirkvold was accidentally crushed between a towtruck and the ammunition carrier it was pulling. He was the son of Elmer Melland Kirkvold who came from Bainville, Roosevelt Co., Montana. Lloyd was farming with his father when he enlisted at Regina late in 1942. |
