Narrative history
  J90653 Pilot Officer (No. 424 Tiger Squadron RCAF air gunner) Arthur Thomas Keeping (b.1924) of Codette was KIA 19441108 and is buried at Reichswald Forest war cemetery near Kleve, Germany. Keeping's Halifax was lost during a night raid on Dusseldorf. Arthur was born on the homestead, educated at Inkster school and was farming with his family when he enlisted at Saskatoon in 1943.

Brother of JR Keeping. They were the sons of Sidney and Winnifred Alice Augusta (Brewer) Keeping who came from the Isle of Wight to Star City in 1907, moving to homestead NE34-49-16-W2 in the Elk Hill district west of Codette in 1919.
