| L20013 Lance Bombardier (Royal Canadian Artillery) Stephen Karos (b.1910) of Clavet was KIA 19440831 during the push to clear the Channel ports and is buried at Calais Canadian war cemetery, Leubringhen, Pas-de-Calais, France. Stephen was born at Winnipeg, Manitoba, the son of Michael and Carolina Karos who later lived at San Gabriel, California. He was farming near Clavet when he enlisted at Saskatoon three days before Canada declared war. |
