| L2928 Trooper (17th Duke of York's Royal Canadian Hussars) Boyd James Hackett (b.1922) of Asquith was KIA 19440823 at Joquetteril during the pursuit to the Seine and is buried at Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian war cemetery, Calvados, France. He was the son of Thomas George and Margaret Jane Hackett who later moved to Saskatoon. Boyd was farming with his family when he enlisted at Saskatoon in 1941. |
