Narrative history
  L53577 Corporal (14th Canadian Hussars) William David Galbraith (b.1913) of Quill Lake died 19441120 in the Nijmegen salient and is buried at Schoonselhof cemetery, Antwerpen, Belgium. The jeep in which Galbraith was a passenger collided near Turnhout with another military vehicle. He was the son of William and Ruth Rachel Galbraith who came from Missouri. William Jr. was born at Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, completed his education at Quill Lake and was working as a mechanic at Wynyard when he enlisted at Saskatoon early in 1941. His brothers John and Findlay were both lance corporals overseas.
