L27675 Lance Corporal (Regina Rifles) James Alland Froom (b.1920) of Chelan was KIA 19450405 at Zutphen during the liberation of the Netherlands and is buried at Groesbeek Canadian war cemetery near Nijmegen, Gelderland, Netherlands. James farmed before enlisting at Prince Albert in 1940. Brother of GE Froom. They were the sons of James Norman and Alice Armenella Froom who came from Ontario to Flaxcombe prior to World War I, moved to Forester in 1927, to Chelan in 1933 and to New Osgoode in 1940. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
