  L26404 Gunner (13 Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery) Lindsay Gordon Ford (b.1912) of Paynton was KIA 19440814 in Operation Tractable during the push to Falaise and is buried at Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian war cemetery, Calvados, France. He was the son of Percy Melville and Edith Ford. Lindsay was farming with his family whenhe enlisted at Saskatoon in 1941.
