Narrative history
  H9514 Private (Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry) Arthur Martin Falardeau (b.1924) of Bertwell was KIA 19440523 near Aquino during the assault on the Hitler line and is commemorated on the Cassino Memorial, Frosinone, Italy, for soldiers in the Italian campaign with no known grave. He was the son of Osias and Orilda Falardeau who homesteaded NW35-40-24-W2 just west of Middle Lake and later moved to Flin Flon. Arthur was born at St. Benedict and was farming in the Shady Lane district about half way between Bertwell and Weekes when he enlisted at Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 1942.
