| J86266 Pilot Officer (No. 433 Porcupine Squadron RCAF wireless air gunner) Clifford Lloyd Depper (b.1921) of Saskatoon was KIA 19440122 and is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial just west of London, England, for airmen from the north European theatre who died with no known grave. Depper's Halifax sent a distress call from near Arras, France, during a night raid on Magdeburg, Germany, but was not found. He was the son of Joseph and Hanna (Mays) Depper who came from England and later retired to New Westminster, British Columbia. Clifford attended Mayfair school and Bedford Road collegiate and was working as an appliance repairman when he enlisted at Saskatoon early in 1941.
