| L13399 Private (South Saskatchewan Regiment) Charles (Charlie) Dawson (b.1920) of Wiseton died 19430506 and is buried at Brookwood military cemetery near London, England. Dawson was accidentally killed by an abdominal gunshot wound during a live fire training exercise at Horsham, West Sussex. He was the son of Charles Roger and Sarah Dawson of Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Charlie was a farm labourer when he enlisted at Regina in 1940. |
